We remember Roger as a kind neighbor in Manila and a gracious friend in Worthing. He helped orient us newcomers when we arrived in Manila. When he learned we were fans of classical music, for instance, he drove our family a long distance through chaotic traffic in his carefully maintained Jeep to a memorable concert that included an organ with pipes made of bamboo. When we later moved to Worthing when he was also there, he likewise helped us appreciate our new home in Britain, taking us, for example, to ride the historic steam engines pictured on the web site here.
